Historical Artifacts

Historical Artifacts are housed in limited numbers in the archives. It should be noted that The Archives at Columbus State University does not actively collect historical artifacts, but does on occasion accept certain types of artifacts as part of larger print collections.

Historical Newspapers

Historical Newspapers which focus on the Columbus area are collected. This collection includes bound volumes of local newspapers, some of which date to the 1830's. Special bound editions of local newspapers and special issue segments which document local history are also collected. The bound volumes of the newspapers are only open to researchers when special circumstances warrant examination of the original. Microfilm copies of Columbus Newspapers are available on the first floor of the library.
