Biographical Note

Thomas L. French, Jr. is a surveyor and landscape architect in Columbus, Georgia. He co-authored a book with Dr. John Lupold about Horace King, the slave-born architect of several bridges in and around Columbus.

Scope and Content Note

This collection is an eclectic assemblage of mostly published secondary materials, including a 78 rpm phonograph record, which reflect French's interests: surveying, archival policy of the University of Alabama, maps, and general history.
