Oral History Program

Columbus State University collects oral history interviews documenting the history of the Chattahoochee Valley and makes them accessible to the public. Over 400 oral histories on a wide variety of local history topics are available for research use in the archives reading room. Our oral history collections include:

Individuals and groups interested in conducting single oral history interviews or multi-interview projects are encouraged to contact the Archives. In most cases we cannot conduct interviews for you, we can often provide training, advice, and can also loan basic equipment. The CSU Archives will be glad to house and make available to the public oral history interviews which relate to Columbus and the surrounding region. Please contact the Archives staff for more details.
